Terms of use
What Nyongo is
Nyongo is a personal tool to keep track of money lent and borrowed between people, and to send reminders about it. Nyongo is operated by Gigayar.
What Nyongo is not
- Nyongo does not move, hold or transfer money. Payments happen outside the app.
- Nyongo is not a lender, a bank, a payment service or a debt collection agency.
- Nyongo does not verify what users record. A debt, payment or message in Nyongo is a statement made by a user, not proof that it is true.
- Records in Nyongo are not legal documents.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Nyongo.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
- The information you give about yourself must be truthful.
What you record
- You are responsible for the debts, payments, contacts and messages you enter.
- Only record debts that really exist. A debt with another Nyongo user is shared with them only if they accept it.
- If someone declines a debt, respect their answer. You may keep it as a private note, but Nyongo will not send them reminders about it.
Reminders and messages
- Use reminders and chat respectfully. Harassment, threats, insults and misleading content are not allowed.
- We may suspend or delete accounts that abuse other people.
Disagreements between users
Nyongo does not settle disagreements between users and is not responsible for whether a debt is repaid. Please resolve disagreements directly with the other person, or through the appropriate authorities.
Availability
We do our best to keep Nyongo working, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors. Features may change over time.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in Profile, Delete my account. The Privacy policy explains what happens to your data.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the app will ask you to read and accept the new version.
